RESTAURANT ES PORT DE VALLDEMOSSA
Our friend Siddu Amin recently returned to Mallorca, and we had lunch at an off-the-beaten-path fish restaurant in Port de Valldemossa that has been operating since 1969.
It has gained popularity among those willing to make the effort to visit. With its old-fashioned charm and warm, inviting atmosphere, it becomes particularly busy with tourists during lunchtime.
Driving to the hard-to-reach beach and port at Port de Valldemossa requires nerves of steel due to the spine-tingling hairpin bends along the narrow path. However, the journey is absolutely worth it for a quick dip in the refreshing waters of the pebble beach, followed by a long, leisurely lunch.

The restaurant features a charming balcony overlooking the small pebble beach, perfect for cooling off after a long lunch.

This is a place to enjoy grilled fish and delicious paellas, all paired with a cold, crisp bottle of Verdejo or Albariño from Galicia.
We ordered a variety of fried foods because the young children with us weren’t very adventurous, but there was an abundance of fresh fish displayed in the cabinet in the downstairs bar.
We had,
Croquetas de jamón (croquettes with Ibérian ham)

Croquetas de rape y gambas (crispy croquettes filled with hake and prawns)

Calamare frita (deep-fried squid rings).

Fideuà de marisco (Seafood fideos (pasta noodles) with prawns, scallops, mussels and clams).

The fideuà was very generous with shellfish, but personally, I found the fideo pasta a little too thick for my liking. I prefer thinner fideos.

An hour after lunch, we sat on the beachside with a few cañas whilst keeping an eye on the kids.

After our long drive to get here, we stopped for a dip on the restaurant's port side before lunch.

Cerveza 00 zero were needed for the drive back.........
