RESTAURANTE S'ILLOT DES RENCLÍ

S'Illot des Renclí is a stunning, small beach, one of those that captures the essence of tranquil Ibiza.

The entire area is stunning, surrounded by pine trees and fishermen's huts, with a famous islet off the shore, which lends the bay its name.

The crystal-clear water is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, with a seabed teeming with sea life.

There are four jetties where you can put your towel down if you don't want to sunbathe on the beach.

It is a family-friendly spot that is not usually as crowded as other, more famous coves.

Additionally, right above is Restaurant S'Illot des Renclí, which features a large terrace where you can enjoy local Ibicencan fare while overlooking the sea, completing the experience.

On a few visits here we have had,
Pan, aceitunas y alioli.

Tomates, espárragos y calabacín a la parrilla

Gambas con chile y ajo

Pimientos dulces con queso azul

Calamares a la plancha.

Lenguado (sole)

Dorada (gilthead sea bream)

You can also order larger fish to share, like scorpionfish and grouper

Served with potato chips and vegetables.

For dessert, you could have,
Greixonera, a traditional dessert from Ibiza, is made from using up stale ensaimadas (Balearic pastry).

Tarta de queso con fresas.

Rounded off with a café caleta (made with coffee, brandy, rum, and sugar, originating from Ibizan fishermen to help them endure the cold at sea.

There is a decent, reasonably priced wine list. The service is friendly and efficient.

After lunch, you can have a great swim and snorkel between the rocks. Wear swim shoes if possible, as the entire cove is challenging to access barefoot.

In the evening, you can sit in the shady seating area of the Restaurant and take in the gorgeous views of the bay at sunset.
