The menu at this great little spot, is not very extensive but the quality is outstanding. The tapas here are reinterpretations of traditional dishes like migas, aioli shrimp montadito and salmorejo but done, with a thoroughly modern touch.
We had the 8 course Menú Degustacíon at €35 per person.
Foie al Palo Cortado sobre torta de anís y naranja amarga.
Foie al Palo Cortado on aniseed and bitter orange cake.
Vieira rellena de supicadillo y salmorejo.
Scallop, stuffed with its roe and salmorejo.
Gamba rojo, edamame y ajoblanco.
Red shrimp, edamame and white garlic soup.
Huevo a baja temperatura, migas con also negro y Oloroso Viejo.
Egg, cooked at low temperature with bread crumbs and black garlic and old Oloroso.
Judiones de la granja al pil pil de cocochas de bacalao.
Beans from the farm al pil pil and cod cheeks.
Pescado o carne a tu eleccion.
Meat or fish of your choice.
Queso de cabra Florida, pan con tomillo y confitura de higo.
Florida goats cheese, thyme bread and fig jam.
The desserts are homemade, original and very good.
You can also have a wine pairing to go with the menu for €15 We had a bottle of Bouza do Rei Albariño D.O.Rías Baixas.
You can have a tasting menu, where the diner decides the courses. There are many ways to do things, and here, they have decided, to do them very well. Great quality at an exceptional price, with wines and service to match. When we asked Chef Tue García if he had learnt his craft in any well-known establishments, he replied, no, I learnt everything from my Mother, which is all you need to know about Spanish Mamas.
