ANDALUCÍA - MALAGA - PALOCORTADO
August 2022 This excellent restaurant is situated outside of the crowded old town area of bars and restaurants and is well worth a visit. We arrived early, for Andalucia at 8.15 pm, and it was empty but when we left at 10.15 pm it was full to bursting as is the way in Málaga.
It is a great spot for an aperitivo, we had a fabulous palocortado cocktail to begin the evening. There is also a superb wine list.
Ajoblanco y atún rojo tataki de atún rojo curado en dashi con ajoblanco de nuez de macadamia (One of the best ajoblanco in town (local cold soup made from garlic and ground almonds with red tuna tataki cured in dashi with macadamia nuts).
Chiperones a la brasa Fondo de papas con choco y aceite de hierbas (grilled baby squid with potatoes and cuttlefish gravy and herb oil).
A copa of the local Botani white wine was €5. The attention of the staff was excellent.
