Discovering Authentic Ibicencan Cuisine
If you plan to visit, you'll need a car or a bicycle. From Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio), drive towards Santa Agnés de Corona. At the T-junction near Cafeteria Ca'n Cosmi, famous for its tortilla (Spanish omelette), turn left. Once you leave the village, there are no signs, but the drive is straightforward. The views of the almond blossoms in February are breathtaking! Continue for about 1.5 km until you spot a rustic wooden Restaurant on your right, surrounded by pine trees. There's ample parking available.

Cafeteria Can Jordi is perched high in the pine forest, offering fantastic views. Don't forget to take a moment to appreciate the scenery!

I've been visiting Cafeteria Can Jordi for years. Nestled in the pine forest of Santa Agnés, this charming Restaurant always welcomes us with open arms.

The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Ibicencan cuisine.

During our visit in July 2025, I noticed a change. They no longer serve rice dishes like paella and fideuà. Their kitchen simply can't handle the quantities needed. Instead, they now focus on tapas and main dishes.

We kicked off our meal with pan con alioli and olives. The flavours were delightful and set the tone for what was to come.

Next, we enjoyed an ensalada de tomate, queso burrata y pesto de albahaca. The combination of fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and fragrant basil pesto was simply divine.

For the main course, we savoured chuletas de cordero (lamb chops)

and solomillo de ternera (beef tenderloin). Each dish was cooked to perfection.

To accompany our meal, we ordered an excellent Mocen Verdejo 2019 D.O. Rueda. I had never tried this wine before, and it was a delightful surprise. They also offer a selection of reasonably priced cocktails, which is a rarity in Ibiza!

To finish off our meal, we indulged in traditional Ibicencan desserts: greixonera and flaó. These sweet treats are a must-try!

A Perfect Lunch Spot
The Restaurant is an excellent choice for lunch, whether you prefer to dine inside or outside. The wooden tables create a cozy atmosphere. The service is friendly, provided by the son and the elderly couple who run the Restaurant.

They make you feel right at home. The prices here are lower than those at the fancy bars elsewhere, but the quality is just as good. This isn't a trendy Ibiza club Restaurant; it's a local gem serving traditional Ibicencan cuisine.

The same family has been running this Restaurant for many years. The mother still works in the kitchen, ensuring that the food maintains its authentic taste.
Menu Highlights
The menu features a variety of local dishes, including:
Ensalada Ibicencan: A fresh salad made with local ingredients.
Sardinas: Grilled sardines, a must-try for seafood lovers.
Lubina: Sea bass, cooked to perfection.
Dorada: Gilthead bream, a local favourite.
Gambas a la plancha: Grilled prawns, bursting with flavour.
For meat lovers, the Chuletas de cordero a la parrilla (grilled lamb chops) are a highlight. And don't miss out on the Greixonera, a traditional cinnamon-flavoured bread pudding made from ensaïmadas. The Flaó, a cheesecake with mint, is another delicious dessert option.
Enjoying the Views
The small open space facing the sea offers superb panoramic views of the coast. It's an ideal spot to watch the sunset, so don't forget your camera!

If you're feeling adventurous, the surroundings are perfect for hiking. To the Restaurant's left, you'll find the XII-century Phoenician ruin of Sa Penya Esbarrada, visible through a security fence.

From July until the end of September, the Restaurant is open until 10:30 pm. For the rest of the year, it operates for lunch only, with the kitchen closing at 5 pm. So, if you're looking for a genuine taste of Ibiza, make sure to visit Cafeteria Can Jordi. You won't be disappointed!
