ANDALUCÍA - ALMERÍA - CASA SEVILLA

CASA SEVILLA

This is an Interesting restaurant in the middle of Almería, heading down towards the port area. It is set in an alleyway off the main street and was full of locals on the evening we attended, which is always a good sign.

There are tables outside in the alleyway and a restaurant in a room at the back and tall tables with stalls in the bar area

They serve a very varied menu, including Almería’s typical traditional dishes and specialities of the house.

With every drink, in our case, a copa de cava (€4.50) you get to choose a tapa from the free tapa menu.

We had good lomo a la antigua (old fashioned pork tenderloin)

Albóndigas de jibia (cuttlefish meatballs)

Albóndigas de buey (beef meatballs)

From the paid for menu, we choose,

Tosta de foie con cebolla caramelizada (foie gras on toast with caramelised onions).

Flamenquin de presa Ibérica (deep fired breaded Iberian pork, Serrano ham and Cheese)

Plus a bottle of Artuke Pies Negros (€22)

Also recommended, but not tried, were, Ajo blanco (white garlic) Las Berenjenas con miel de caña (aubergines with cane honey) Pulpo seco de Adra (sun-dried octopus of Adra)

Service was friendly and the place was full and atmospheric on this midweek day in March.

The bill for three people came to a veary resonable €50.70
