ARAGMA IBIZA

We visited Aragma Ibiza, the sister restaurant of Tapas in Sant Antoni de Portmany, and we were very impressed.
The restaurant is set in a great spot overlooking the Marina. It is led by a talented Greek head chef who serves authentic, homemade, Greek-inspired shared-dining dishes of sublime quality, crafted with the freshest ingredients. These dishes are delicious and surprisingly original.
Our meal included,
Tzatziki (cool & refreshing Greek yoghurt with cucumber, garlic, mint, dill & extra virgin oil).

Halloumi (golden-grilled Halloumi served with spiced spinach purée).

Dolmadakia ( Vine leaves stuffed with aromatic mint, parsley & dill rice, served with wasabi mayo).

Kalamari (two ways, Mediterranean herb salsa, spinach purée).

Arni (lamb steaks, with chimichurri, homemade red pepper, sambal ketchup and Greek yoghurt).

Deconstructed baklava (a stunning, layered pastry made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with honey). This is a must-have!

Other meals include,
Ceviche de corvina (sea bass ceviche)
Filete de ajo y mantequilla (garlic butter steak)
Judías gigantes con portobello, miso, chile y cilantro (giant beans with portobello mushrooms, miso, chilli, and coriander)
For wine, we had Maruxa Godello Valdeorras 2024

A peachy, soft and round example of this underrated grape grown in Galicia in Spain's north-west. Elegance, freshness, and poise that are typical of good Godello.

The cocktails,
El Curador (gin, fresh tomato water, balsamic, rosemary and basil)
Niño de la Isla (mezcal, pineapple and coriander)
Cava Sangria
To finish, we had two hierbas on the house.

The evening was rounded off by Ricardo's fun, friendly, informative, and bubbly service.
