LOBITO DE MAR Michelin Plate IIO

This beachless chiringuito on the N-340, on the outskirts of Marbella, is less expensive than Dani García's other ventures; nevertheless, it still offers superb quality.

It's a very hip, modern and inviting restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. On arrival, the fish in the display cabinet looked very fresh. I liked that they have made space for a tapas chillout section.

We had a few tapas to start.

Tapa gazpacho.

Tapa gambas blanco (white prawns from Huelva).

Tapa anchoa 00 Ace (anchovies).

Burger mollete atuñ (tuna muffin burger).

Tapa mejillón tigre (tiger mussels).

followed by

Anchoas naranjas (orange anchovies).

Coquinas malagueñas (small Málaga clams).

Pesca del día - lenguado.

Fish of the day - sole.

We shared the following wines.

Bico de Cabo Albariño 2019 (Rías Baixas).

Entre os Ríos Komokabras Barrica 2017 (Barbanza e Iria, Galicia).

There is an outside terrace and plenty of local parking nearby.

The staff are friendly & very professional.
