ANDALUCÍA - MÁLAGA - MARBELLA - SKINA
SKINA Two Michelin Stars
August 2020
This is a minute restaurant in the old quarter of Marbella, which we visited during the Covid-19 mask wearing times of 2020. It offers an interesting and bold approach to top-quality gastronomy.
The cuisine is traditionally inspired, showcasing meticulous technique and ingredients of the highest quality.
The food is nothing less than sublime.
We had, excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service from our waiter, Jesús, and the rest of the staff.
The restaurant held, One Michelin Star for ten years and now currently holds two, which is very well deserved.
We had the menú a la carte, which included,
Málaga sardines, seasonal vegetables and macaroon with leeks and caviar
They have their own olive oil from Los Añadios-Jaén, Andalucía
Nobleza del Sur Aceite de Oliva Virgin Extra Cosecha Temprana - Ecológico (100% Picual)
and organic bread from their local bakery, which can be found here,
Fermento Casa De Panaderos Plaza de la Iglesia, 1, San Pedro de Alcántara, 29670 Marbella, Málaga +34 951 66 62 63
For drinks, to start, we had an, At Roca Brut Reserva 2016 Cava.D.O. (51% Macabeo 25% Parellada 24% Xarel)
Seasonal cold vegetable soup with Galician razor clams
Seasonal rabbit rice.
Wild sea bass from the North of Spain with crispy kale in its own jus and saffron sauce.
To drink, with the seabass, we had an excellent,
La Bandida Finca Camineros 2018 Ribeiro. D. O. (100% Treixadura)
Desserts were,
Crema Catalan and cherry with a chocolate centre
Milhoja de chocolate with caramel and coffee.
With its contemporary decor, featuring an impressive glass-fronted wine cellar, this is one place, not to miss! when you are in Marbella.
