DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIÁN - ZAZPI GASTROBAR
ZAZPI GASTROBAR
On a visit in October 2021, we found out that Zazpi had moved to,
SAN TELMO MUSEOA Plaza Zuloaga, 1, 20003 Donostia, Gipuzkoa, Spain +34 943 50 67 67

We only popped in to have a look and discovered it is more of a formal dining place now. The food looks just as good but lacks the great vibe of the old bar. We had a racion of gambas de Heulva.

Which were excellent.

Below is a review of the old bar. They probably have similar dishes in the new restaurant.

In a town of excellent pintxo bars, the food here was especially good and of unbelievable value.

This is a very Inventive pintxo bar. You should order the hot food from the three menus to get the best ones. We started off with the txuleta con ceniza (steak with ash)

Huevo, jamón, patata y trufa (egg, ham, potato and truffle).

Arroz verde con mejillones (green rice with mussels).

Carrillera ibérica de bellota (acorn-fed Iberian pig cheek)

Arroz de trufa con foie (truffled rice with foie gras).

Ravioles de rabo de toro (oxtail ravioli).

There is a good selection of wine and craft beer.

Great value for money and a friendly staff. Our waiter spoke English and took his time to explain the menu.

This is one of the best pintxo bars in Donostia-San Sebastián. It also, has a great lunchtime menu, which you must try, which includes stunning txuleton and tortellini de rabo.

Every pintxo we ordered, tasted incredible. They were all well presented, cooked perfectly and with excellent flavour. The staff were very helpful, making some excellent suggestions.
