ANDALUCÍA - SEVILLA - RESTAURANTE TRIBECA
RESTAURANTE TRIBECA Michelin Plate IIO
This excellent restaurant's location is in the residential barrio of La Buheria, which is a eight minute drive from the historic centre of Seville (or twenty minute walk).
It is modern and well fitted out, the tables are not to close together. We had at least three waiters looking after us.
The charming chef Pedro Giménez came out to explain the menu to us.
He then took us downstairs into the preparation area to chose our fish and shellfish.
We shared the starters
Aperitif
Two types of oysters
Ostras Francesa marennes Ostras Francesa a la brasa
Berberechos grande al vapour (steamed cockles)
Hevas fritas de dorada (deep fired sea bream roe)
Gambas a la plancha (grilled large prawns)
For mains we chose a large pargo rojo al horno con pimientos asados y tomates cherry (baked red Snapper with roasted peppers and cherry tomatoes)
Desserts
Postre de yama calbarro
Mousse de chocolate hibisc
From the very extensive wine list we picked
1 bottle Cava de la finca €30 1 bottle Belondrada y Luton (verdejo from Rueda) €48 1 bottle Molino Real 2005 (mountain dessert wine from Málaga) €60
The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 2pm but was full an hour later due to the late lunch time in Sevilla.
The waiters were friendly, helpful and supplied a constant flow of excellent bread.
The bill for four came to €437
