IBIZA - SANT JOSEP - RESTAURANT ES XARCU
RESTAURANT ES XARCU Michelin Plate IIO UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2025 Es Xarcu is finally back at sea. Two years ago, they were forced to move to the village of Es Cubells. The menu was great, and the food was fantastic, but the vibe just wasn't the same. The good news is they are back at their old, trusted spot! For more than 30 years, Mariano Torres and his wife have been running this chiringuito, which is very popular with the many boats and their fancy owners who st

IBIZA - SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY - LA JOSEFITA
LA JOSEFITA IBIZA La Josefita is a lovely little restaurant in the backstreets of Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio), near the infamous West End, which is currently undergoing a massive transformation. This new tapas restaurant, opened in August, pays tribute to Grandma Pepita - Josefa Pepita. The Josefita offers a concise menu of reimagined, familiar tapas. We started with; Sabrasada con calamares bebés (a stunning sabrasada with deep-fried baby squid) Albóndigas (incredi

IBIZA - EIVISSA (IBIZA TOWN) - COMIDAS BAR SAN JUAN
COMIDAS BAR SAN JUAN UPDATED OCTOBER 2025 - The restaurant is currently closed, possibly awaiting new owners, which is a massive shame. The owners of this unpretentious tapas bar remain impervious to Ibiza's trendiness, refusing to change its wood-panelled décor and traditional Spanish menu. It has always been one of the cheapest places to eat in Eivissa (Ibiza Town). There is new staff at the bar San Juan in June 2024, completely different opening hours, and a moderate pr

ES ALOCS RESTAURANTE Set at the back of the excellent family beach of Es Figueral in the Northeast of the island, this is an authentic local restaurant, managed and owned by true Ibicencos from nearby Sant Carles de Peralta. A glimpse of what the island was like before the influx of high-end tourists wiped out many of the traditional bars and restaurants. They serve simple local cuisine; you shouldn't expect too much, but the prices are reasonable. They are open for breakfas

IBIZA - KIOSKO CALA LLENYA
KIOSKO CALA LLENYA UPDATE JULY 2025 - THE BEACH BAR HAS REOPENED We were asked recently about the status of the chiringuito in Cala Llenya. In previous reports on social media, it was claimed that CBBC had taken it over. Fortunately, there was nothing in that, after the Ayuntamiento de Santa Eulària des Riu and CBBC itself confirmed. So, the authenticity of this beautiful family beach on the east side of the island remains preserved for this season, at least, and the chirin
