IBIZA - ES CUBELLS - CHIRINGUITO SES BOQUES
CHIRINGUITO SES BOQUES This rustic and authentic chiringuito has been located at the end of a long, steep road down from Es Cubells since the 1970s. It is set among pine trees and offers a complete view of a small pebble beach. To reach the restaurant, take the left turn before you reach Es Cubells church. Around a mile or so later, you will see it signposted on the left on the cliff road going down the hill. After a steep slope, you will reach the restaurant next to the sea.

IBIZA - CALA TALAMANCA - THE FISH SHACK
THE FISH SHACK @ TALAMANCA Also known as Chiringuito Sa Punta, a tiny shack on the rocks perched delicately at the sea’s edge at the very end of Talamanca beach, this is hard to find, as there are no signposts or a roof. This is one spot you don’t often read about, making it all the more special. Head for the restaurant Sa Punta in Talamanca, and when you reach it, keep going past the rocks. Soon, you will see the tangle of umbrella canopies, wooden tables and plastic chairs.

IBIZA - SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY - ES REBOST DE CAN PRATS - POST 2
ES REBOST DE CAN PRATS In September 2024, we returned to one of our favourite restaurants, serving traditional Ibicencan cuisine in Sant Antoni de Portmany (San Antonio). Located in a house built in the early years of the 20th century, it was one of the first shops in Sant Antoni. It sold food like chickens, eggs, cheeses, pebrassos, rabbits, vegetables, potatoes, and other products necessary for everyday life. When they opened in 1994, in the home of the current owners’ gran

IBIZA - SANTA EULÁRIA DES RIU - CA'S PAGES - POST 2
RESTAURANTE CA’S PAGES This is one of the most historic restaurants in the north of Ibiza. It is run by two sisters, Carmen and Lucia, whose family started offering their traditional Ibiçencan cooking in 1972. It is located in the family home’s basement and in the shaded, planted back garden. The outdoor, partly covered seating is beautiful, full of green plants and subtle lighting. If you come early, you have a great choice of seating. You will find big, long tables for fam

IBIZA - SANT CARLES DE PERALTA - KIOSKU CALA MASTELLA
KIOSKU CALA MASTELLA This beach bar on the island’s northeast is a local insider tip among Ibiza’s chiringuito lovers. It is sometimes unfavourably compared to the legendary fish restaurant El Bigotes, which sits to the left in the same bay. This is entirely unjustified, although it works on a different concept. Pepe Bonet and Angel Pins have created a true oasis of calm here and created honest, perfectly prepared food. They have six dishes (fresh fish, of course, hamburgers,

IBIZA - SANT JOSEP - RESTAURANTE ES CUCÓ
RESTAURANTE ES CUCÓ This restaurant is on the outskirts of Cala de Bou, moving inland. It is a great place to stop for a drink or for some affordable food. It is famous for its spit-roast chicken (with black pepper sauce) . Served with chips and salad. We started with a warm goat's cheese salad. It is a great, cheap meal. The chicken costs €11.50 without sauce and €14 with sauce. Along with the chicken, you will find boquerones (anchovies in oil, garlic, and vinegar), calama

IBIZA - SANTA GERTRUDIS - BAR COSTA
BAR CAN COSTA For the cheaper pocket, head to Bar Costa in Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, a pretty and well-loved little village in the centre of the island. There are many restaurants set around the village church in this lovely spot with a vibrant hippy feel. It’s a great place to live, a few hours away from the interesting little shops, nooks, and crannies. Most Sundays, there is a church procession, with locals and tourists attending the Sunday service. There are many inter

IBIZA - SANT JOSEP - PLATGES DE COMTE - CHIRINGUITO CALA ESCONDIDA IBIZA
CHIRINGUITO CALA ESCONDIDA IBIZA The walk to Platges de Comte, in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, is about 200 meters from the new car park. In front of you, you will see Sunset Ashram; hidden on the left, you will find the stunning little cove of Racó den Xic. Walking down the 50 or so steps to the beach, you will wonder at this wonderful little oasis. On your left will be the pretty little beach, which, although it has typical Ibicencan naturist roots, It is a

IBIZA - SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY - HOSTAL MARINO & M HOTEL
HOSTAL MARINO & M HOTEL We returned to Hostal Marino in September 2025, when it was finally joined by its new sister hotel, M Hotel . The new hotel has a restaurant, fitness centre, bar, and garden area, with access to the bar and restaurant areas at Hostal Marino. It is a place to relax after a long night/day! IBIZA - SANT JOSEP - RESTAURANT CALA d'HORT (CA NA VERGERA)
RESTAURANT CALA d’HORT (CA NA VERGERA) This mythical restaurant is also known as Ca na Vergera (which is the nickname of the family that continues to own and work here). It is one of the last authentic places left in Ibiza’s south. In the late sixties, Joan Vergera acquired the restaurant's land and built a small hut where his wife could work. He went fishing with his llaüt (small Ibicencan fishing boat), the “Adolfo.” When he returned, his wife, Maria, cooked what he had bro
