RESTAURANTE ES PUETÓ
This is a traditional beach bar, or chiringuito, with an Ibicencan heritage that dates back to 1969. Unfortunately, 2026 may be the last year we can enjoy it, as it is scheduled for demolition at the end of the year due to the Costas rule. This regulation aims to restore the coastline by removing beach bars and restaurants.

The chiringuito is located directly on the beach in Cala de Bou, and this friendly family-run bar is loved by locals and tourists alike.

They serve traditional Ibicencan beach food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This time, we tried the excellent tomato and burrata salad.

Chiperones fritos (fried baby squid)

Merluza (hake)

Choco (cuttlefish)

Gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns)

Asador de pollos (rotisserie chicken)

Chulettas de Cordero (lamb chops)

Pinchitos de pollo (chicken kebab)

We had a Valdubón Verdejo D.O. Rueda 2023.

The service is fast and friendly. Although they get busy at peak summertime, they make a great effort to accommodate all customers.

The tables do get moved around due to seasonal high tides, which is part of the fun!

Being at the beach offers stunning views and a lovely sea breeze during those memorable, sweltering summer evenings.

This is one of the few remaining traditional chiringuito-style beach bars in San Antonio.

If you choose to have dinner in the evening, you will experience one of Ibiza’s famous sunsets.

Hopefully, some common sense can prevail, and the chiringuito can be saved for future generations to enjoy the food, ambience, and stunning sunsets.
