IBIZA - SANT CARLES DE PERALTA - EL BIGOTES
EL BIGOTES The Fish Shack at Cala Mastella is also known as El Bigotes, which translates to “The Moustache” a nod to the proprietor’s distinctive whiskers. El Bigotes will be remembered for sitting at his table every lunchtime while enjoying a flagon of his favourite red wine with his fish and rice. Sadly, he passed away in 2025 at nearly 100 years old. His funeral was massive on the island, with everyone paying their respects. Rest in peace, El Bigotes, and thank you for you

COSTA DE LA LUZ - PLAYA DE LOS CAÑOS DE MECA - PAGO DE ZAHORA BEACH
The beach at Caños de Meca curves inland from the Faro de Trafalgar in the Cabo de Trafalgar. This is where Nelson defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Trafalgar, which took place just here in October 1805. It's something to think about as you enjoy your lunch! Things have chilled out since then. The beachfront is still wonderfully underdeveloped, save for most of the dreamlike Chiringuitos around the corner at Pago de Zahora. Here, you will find some of Andalusia's iconic beac

CAFÉ BAR FLOTANTE The mythical Bar Flotante (floating bar) is set on the shore of the stunning Platja de Talamanca, just outside Eivissa (Ibiza Town). The service isn't great or fast, but if you're on vacation and not in a rush, you can enjoy the ambience for as long as you like. The food is basic but decent, w
