SA COVA - DOWNTOWN

Sa Cova Downtown, which opened in 2024 on a Sant Antoni (San Antonio) side street, is a Mediterranean-style bistro. 

They are the same people from Sa Cova in the old town of Eivissa (Ibiza Town).

The restaurant offers a French-Peruvian menu with seasonal products and an elaborate wine list. 

The chef, Begoña Aizmendi, offers a concise menu showcasing many of Sa Cova's essentials and a few of her new creations.

On a warm evening, we sat outside and opened a bottle of Troupe Albariño 2022 (Rias Baixas).

Followed by, 

Tabla de jamón ibérico.

Tiradito de atún rojo con salsa ponzu y aceite de sésamo.

Red tuna tiradito, ponzu sauce (Japanese citrus sauce), sesame oil. (tuna that melts in the mouth).

Foie, cebolla caramelizada, pan de higos (foie gras, caramelised onion, fig bread).

Pulpo a la plancha, emulsión de Kalamata, patatas ((octopus a la plancha, emulsión de Kalamata patatas)

Canelones de bogavante y marisco (lobster and seafood cannelloni).

Carrilleras de cerdo ibérico, puré de plátano, chalaquita (Iberian pork cheeks, banana purée, Peruvian salsa). 

Brioche francesacaramelo salado, helado de avellanas (French brioche, salted caramel, hazelnut ice cream - similar to Spanish torrija).

The food is exceptional, especially the tuna, octopus, and pork cheeks. The setting is beautiful, with smiling faces and a super-talented chef.

We also had a couple of glasses of Fernando Verdejo 2022 (Valdepeñas) and finished with a complimentary shot of hierbas.

Open every night from 19:00 - 02:00

Closed on Monday
