RESTAURANTE TAST AVENIDAS
After a long, gruelling day of shopping/exploring the old town of Palma de Mallorca, we popped into Tast Avenidas (one of the few Tast venues around town). This one is in a great location in the city centre next to La Rambla.
After being seated, we chose from the mainly pincho menu (a pincho or pintxo is a small snack, typically eaten in bars, traditionally, in northern Spain and especially popular in the Basque Country, Navarre, La Rioja, Cantabria, and Asturias. The pincho is the small, thin, pointed piece of wood, like a toothpick, which keeps the bread and topping together.
Croquetas de espinacas con Idiazabal (spinach & Idiazabal cheese croquetas).
Camembert frito con salsa de cerezas (fried camembert with cherry sauce).

Foie à la plancha (grilled foie gras).
Brocheta de langostinos y panceta (grilled shrimp wrapped in a bacon brocheta).
Montadito de solomillo de ternera con queso azul (beef sirloin ‘Montadito’ with blue cheese).
Tarta casera de queso (homemade Basque-style cheesecake).

We also had some grilled vegetables.
There was a pleasant musical atmosphere in the venue.
We cannot fault the service or the food; everything was just delectable. I would certainly go there again.
