I wanted to explore Sant Antoni de Portmany’s traditional breakfast cafés to find the current cost of a basic breakfast. These establishments are primarily popular with locals, along with a few tourists. We ordered the same food and drinks at each location for comparison.

Zumo de naranja recién exprimido (freshly squeezed orange juice).

Café con leche (coffee with milk).

Tostada con tomate, aceite de oliva y sal (toast with tomato, olive oil and salt).

CAFETERÍA EL RINCONCITO

Carrer de la Soledat, 37, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany.

A really great café with good sandwiches, good prices, and fantastic service from all the whole staff. Their breakfast options are excellent; especially the toasties and the coffee, both were fantastic.

The clientele is mainly Spanish, with groups of ladies enjoying breakfast.

We also had a tostada con jamón serrano.

And a carrilljo (coffee with a shot of brandy).

The service was quick and efficient, thanks to the gentleman working the room. They close at midday and are closed all day Sunday.

The standard breakfast was €6.40.

LA GUAY

Carrer de Cervantes, 40, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany.

A good spot, serving all kinds of delicious breakfasts at a great price. Clean, tasty food without unnecessary add-ons.

I also had another carrilljo here.

Friendly and helpful staff.

Standard breakfast €7.80.

RESTAURANTE BAR BENITEZ

This bar seems to have the cheapest breakfast, but unfortunately we arrived on a Monday, when they are closed!

This is a lively place, especially in the evenings, and we have eaten here before and enjoyed some decent local food.

Standard breakfast €5.70.

CAFETERÍA VEDRANE

An authentic café in a cosy setting, run by a friendly owner. Excellent breakfast sandwiches with high-quality cold cuts and freshly toasted bread, paired with great coffee. Recommended for those staying in Sant Antoni.

CAFÉ BAR XDXT

Carrer d'Alacant, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany.

An authentic Ibicencan spot, popular with locals, offering excellent tapas alongside a great Estrella at fair prices. A good place for breakfast with quality coffee. Generous portions.

CAFETERÍA BAR ALICANTE

This lively bar is full of local workers and hostal guests.

CAFÉ BAR PACO ILLUSION

Carrer de Bartomeu Vicent Ramon, 32, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany

This spectacular place is known for its enormous sandwiches and fantastic service. You can really tell that everything is made with love, and it offers excellent value for money.

Additionally, they offer gluten-free bread, making it a great option for everyone.

CAFETERÍA BAHÍA

Carrer de París, 5, 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany

Its convenient location near the bus station and year-round opening make it an ideal choice for residents and tourists alike who want good local food at an affordable price.

Its exceptional customer service and great value for money make it special.

I had an extra carajillo (sometimes you need it!) for €2.50.

DÓNDE PACO TAPERÍA

A charming neighbourhood bar that serves breakfast and tasty tostadas. Portion sizes are generous, and the atmosphere is excellent, with a lively vibe among locals.
