LA TERRETA TAPAS Y MÁS

La Terreta is a true hidden gem in San Antonio, Ibiza, and we arrived with very few expectations.

This spot is a relatively recent addition to Sant Antoni’s traditional tapas scene. The small neighbourhood bar was already established by 2023 and is run by Lorena and her husband Marco, who does the cooking. Rather than following the increasingly fashionable style of many Ibiza restaurants, they have kept things simple, concentrating on traditional Spanish tapas, reasonable prices and a friendly local atmosphere.

They have a decent-sized menu.

Very good patatas bravas, and I’ve had many.

Huevos rotos (it literally means “broken eggs”. It’s a classic dish of fried potatoes topped with fried eggs with broken yolks and jamón serrano. Traditionally, it’s all broken up and mixed together).

Sartén de mar (seafood skillet with squid, prawns and clams, served with garlic bread).

The solomillo de cerdo con salsa de zanahoria (pork medallions with carrot sauce) is also good.

They have a short wine list.

We chose a bottle of Pulpo Albariño 2025, D.O. Rías Baixas. It is made from Albariño grapes carefully grown in the vineyards of Val do Salnés in Galicia. It was fresh and fruity, with a lovely intensity and an almost saline minerality.

The lovely Lorena hosts the room and was flying around the place, serving everyone with a warm demeanour and smile.

She creates an incredibly friendly atmosphere, from the staff to the customers. Many locals and a few tourists enjoy the authentic atmosphere. Seating is available inside and on the terrace.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 6 pm–1 am.

Closed Sunday & Monday.
