RESTAURANT POMELO PLAYA (ex Sa Bresca) UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2025

The chiringuito on Cala Gracio has only opened this year. The beds are reasonable, the service is good, but since Mambo Group owns it, the prices are incredibly overpriced. It is now called Pomelo Playa.

They charge €6 for a small beer (0.3 litres) and €8 for a large beer (0.5 litres). The cheapest bottle of wine is €45; the Tomato Salad is €26; the Beach Burger is €32; and the Corvina is €40.

Drinks

It is still a great, child-friendly beach.

Just be aware of the new prices.

JULY 2022

This is a traditional, old-school beach restaurant, unlike the Mambo-owned Chiringuito Gracioneta around the corner, which is good, trendy, but expensive.

It is run by a lovely, engaging old Ibicenco. The food is fresh and delicious.

Try grilled sardines

Lubina (seabass)

Dorada (sea bream )

or a local fish called Pargo, all with salad.

Mixed seafood platter.

They also serve excellent rice dishes, garlic mushrooms, tortillas, and traditional Ibicencan desserts like flaó (a goat’s milk and fresh mint cheesecake made according to the grandmother’s secret recipe, so we are told!).

You will be treated to fantastic, friendly service. I would recommend visiting this restaurant for the paella because the people clearly care a lot about what they do! The beach is a great family destination with good sand and plenty of safe swimming areas.

Although it can get crowded during busy periods.

You can also hire paddle boats.

One thing to be aware of is that jellyfish can be blown onto the beach on windy days, so keep your eyes peeled and look around before entering the water.
