IBIZA - IBIZA - CALA DE BOU - KUMHARAS SUNSET BAR
KUMHARAS
Kumharas was established in 1997 and has become a wonderfully laid-back sunset and music bar that is an institution in San Antonio Bay.

Miguel Maymó created the concept behind Kumharas and still manages it today. His vision was intentionally distinct from the mass-tourism bars in San Antonio and San Antonio Bay.

Kumharas features no vip areas, no organised coach parties, and a mix of locals, travellers, families, music, and a vibrant sunset culture.

Strangely, its distinctive stone tower is not one of Ibiza’s ancient pirate watchtowers; rather, it is a replica from the area’s early mass-tourism days when the site was a miniature golf course.

Kumharas grew up around it and became known for its spectacular sunsets, DJs, live music, and unpretentious bohemian atmosphere.

The terrace looks out towards the islet of sa Conillera, giving Kumharas a stunning, spectacular, unobstructed view of the sunset.

Kumharas is one of the best places around San Antonio Bay for a sunset drink. We normally visit only for beers or cocktails and eat elsewhere.

It also features a relaxed street-food market with food trucks and stalls, offering everything from burgers and Mexican dishes to sushi and poke bowls. As the sun begins to drop over the sea, it is also a superb spot for photographs and video clips for your Instagram page!

It operates on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations, so it’s advisable to arrive at least one hour before sunset to secure a good spot. The opening time is 5 pm.
