BARDO

We went to Bardo in Estepona, which is a restaurant with a tapas bar on the corner. It is located a 5-10-minute walk up the hill near the church from Casa del Rey.

We settled in at the tapas bar, where main courses from the restaurant are also available.

They have a good cocktail menu, and to start, we chose a Hugo spritz (cava, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, sparkling water, and mint), some Ribera del Duero red wine, and a few beers.

Everything was shared and set in the middle so everyone could enjoy the delicious food together!

We had jamón ibérico de bellota 100%. (fabulous acorn-fed Iberian ham).

Croquetas de langostinos (prawn croquettes; these are stunning, and a must-try).

Una ensalada grande acompañada de unos mejillones sobre pan focaccia (a delicious big salad along with some mussels on focaccia bread; it was such a fantastic combination).

Empanadas de carne argentinas (argentine beef empanadas, which were tasty and quite filling).

We all shared a main course of Milanesa escalope de ternera con guarnición de espaguetis (veal schnitzel with a side of excellent spaghetti).

We sat outside under the trees, enjoying a view of the church, which made for a very pleasant evening. José’s service was excellent, especially for the month of August.

I believe they have live Flamenco performances every Thursday evening.
