ANYWAY WINE BAR
Mark Walsh paid a visit to this fantastic little wine bar in Malaga City, founded in 2018 by local entrepreneur David Camino after he returned from working abroad and pursued his idea for a wine-centric concept in Málaga.

It is a wonderfully cool place for serious wine drinkers, quite near the paseo marítimo; it’s the perfect spot for an early evening drink after work for the city’s creative in-crowd.
With over 200 wines, all served by the glass, the list is quite extraordinary. It is a constantly changing list, from reasonably cheap local wines to expensive high-end wines, from Spanish classics to local Andalusian wines, to organic wines, plus a large fortified wine sub-list.
David Camino is the sommelier and professional jamón cortador (jamón cutter). He hosts regular wine tastings at the bar and is also happy to set up a personal tasting in Spanish or English.
The wines tasted were:
Laderas de Sadella 2022 D.O.Sierras de Málaga - Romé y Garnacha.

La Clave 2022 D.O.Bierzo - Mecia.

Glou Glou Sicilia - Nero d’Avola.

Ausás Interpretación Crianza 2022 D.O.Ribera del Duero - single-varietal Tinto Fino (Tempranillo)

Hacienda López de Haro Gran Reserva 2005 D.O.Rioja - Tempranillo y Graciano.

San Vicente 2007 D.O.Rioja - Tempranillo peludo.

El Maestro D.O.Málaga - Moscatel.

They also serve authentic charcuterie and cheese boards and a few starters and main courses. We had an incredible 555 extra virgin olive oil to start.

Jamón de Bellota Ibérico 100%

With pan con tomate.

Chuletón de vaca Simmental

Rice, potatoes and romesco sauce.

The guys serving us were amazing, talking you through every wine and ingredient. It is a wonderful little place with not many seats, so it’s advisable to book in advance.
