This excellent little restaurant is hidden up a side street off the main promenade in Mojácar playa, near the Europcar car rental.
On entering, you come into the bar and restaurant area.
When the weather is great, which it normally is here,
you can eat outside in the lovely
enclosed garden area.
On this pleasant summer evening, we had,
Mini gazpachos.
Carpaccio de presa Ibérica (presa is a cut of meat from the shoulder of the Iberico pig).
Carpaccio de atún (tuna).
Pimientos (roasted peppers)
Gambas a pil-pil (prawns with garlic and chilli).
Rodaballo plancha (turbot)
Solomillo de buey (sirloin steak).
Paletilla de cabrito (roast shoulder of goat).
Desserts
Chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Raspberry crumble.
To drink, we had a bottle of Muga 2011 and a vin dulce to round off the meal.
Maria and her staff were very attentive, engaging with us throughout our time there. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. This is definitely a hidden gem in Mojácar. There are also a few rooms.
