RESTAURANTE CHÉ RAGAZZI - GASTRO FUSIÓN ITALIANO ARGENTINO

Review by our friend Howard Goldsmith of Alicante Sunshine Villas
We have been a little spoiled this weekend. On Friday, we went to Elda to try a relatively new restaurant that we had heard good things about. I'm not sure we were convinced about the Italian/Argentinian fusion idea before we arrived, but we were believers afterwards.

There are three Menu options: Italian, Argentinian, and mixed. I think they are priced at 29€ and 39€, respectively. I forgot to take a photo of the menu; however, you can find it on their website.

We chose from the à la Carte menu on this occasion.
The Argentinian Empanadas were so good that we ordered a second portion.

The Patatas Bravas were excellent. They were spicy without burning the lining of your mouth, and they were pretty different from the traditional Spanish dish.

The simple tomato and Mozzarella with balsamic was perfect alongside the bravas.

We had a Calzone Pizza for the main course, which was beautiful but big enough for two people.

The other Pizza had a ball of soft Mozzarella in the middle, and like the Calzone, the base was excellent.

The other dish was gnocchi with a wild mushroom sauce, and, again, delicious.

We had coffees rather than desserts as we were just so full, and the price was approximately €35 per head. Bear in mind, we were not drinking alcohol so that I would budget for €40-45 with wine, etc., and honestly, it was worth every centimo.
The restaurant is comfortable, as is the seating area on the terrace outside, and the service was first class.
