VAMOR A VER

We recently visited this fairly new tapas bar and restaurant called Vamor a Ver (which translates to “let’s see” or “let me think. It’s located just a couple of blocks off the Explanada in Alicante city, and we stopped by for a few tapas.

This place is fantastic for wine, offering an varied, and well-priced selection.

Everything they serve is well-crafted and deliciously fresh, made with high-quality ingredients, and overseen by the owners themselves. During our visit, we tried several tapas.
Burrata with roasted cherry tomatoes, basil pesto and crushed pistacho. This was arguably the best burrata among the four we tried on this trip.

Baby bravas - roasted river potato, spicy brava sauce and Sriracha aioli. The sauce had a delightful fiery, kick to it.

Torrenzo - deep-fried crispy cured pork belly

Iberian pluma, sliced, served over truffled cream potato and Pedro Ximénez reduction. The pluma had the perfect crispiness on the outside and was soft in the middle, accompanied by the great, sweet PX side sauce.

Tarta de manzana with Jijona nougat custard.

It is a place filled with style and no hurry.
