FORMENTERA - BAR RESTAURANTE EL MIRADOR
RESTAURANTE EL MIRADOR
With almost the entire island stretched out before you the stunning panoramic views across to Ibiza and Es Vedrá in the distance, there is no greater view on Formentera than from the terrace here.
Found high on a hilltop, this rustic restaurant and cafeteria is open in the morning for the early birds
to take a coffee and ensaïmada (a croissant-like pastry, but made with lard (pig fat) not butter).
From 1 pm until 4 pm for lunch and 7 pm until 11 pm for dinner when you can try their traditional food like the large Formentera salad, mussels, calamari, chipirones, and wonderful local sobrasada (garlicky spreading chorizo). As well as the excellent paella, rice dishes and fresh fish of the day.
But it’s best to visit as the sun sets. A Jaw-dropping natural spectacular that’s definitely worth bringing your camera for! At sunset, the falling sun gets a round of applause after a hard day's shining.

Get there at least 30 minutes before sunset as the place fills up pretty quickly.
You would need to book in advance for dinner during busy periods. There is a telescope for a close-up of the stunning views.
El Mirador it is on the La Sabina to La Mola road.
