This traditional Ibicencan fish restaurant sits above the small cove of Pou des Lleó, near Sant Carles de Peralta in northern Ibiza, with wonderful views across the sea and Canal d’en Martí.
Enjoy exquisite fresh fish and rice dishes complemented by a fine wine list, all while taking in stunning sea views of the picturesque cove.
Any lunch or evening meal at restaurant Salvadó is quintessentially Ibicencan and worth the trip.
You start with the usual Ibicencan appetiser of high-quality bread, aioli, and olives.
Mejillones picantes (spicy mussels)
Calamares a la plancha (grilled squid).
They also offer paellas and other rice dishes.
Bullit de peix is one of Restaurant Salvadó’s signature dishes, alongside salmorra (similar to bullit de peix, although the preparation and seasoning differ), various rice dishes, and grilled fish. This traditional Ibicencan stew is crafted using fish, saffron, and potatoes. The first course is a platter of local rockfish, accompanied by potatoes and saffron broth. Much of the fish comes directly from local llaüts fishing the area each morning.
The second course incorporates rice, shellfish, and baby squid into the broth, creating a spectacular sensory experience.
For dessert, try flaó, a homemade cheesecake, or graixonera, a local cinnamon-based bread pudding.
End with the local, somewhat dangerous speciality, Café Caleta, a coffee infused with brandy, citrus, and spices. One thing to note: tables are shared, which is part of the informal, traditional atmosphere at Restaurant Salvadó.
Simple, high-quality food like rice, potatoes, and fresh fish, made with hours of loving preparation, makes for a satisfying meal. After your meal, sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful view.
You can then pop over to the adjacent beach for a swim, sunbathe, or just sleep off the meal.
There is also a bar at the back of the restaurant if you’d like a drink.
Service is excellent and friendly.
Restaurant Salvadó is seasonal, so check opening times before you go. Booking during the summer is essential, especially since it’s likely a long drive from your destination.
