HOSTAL RESTAURANTE FONDA POU DES LLEÓ

This perfect little hostal is in a delightful country setting, about 50 meters from the coast and the beautiful coves of Pou des Lleó and Canal d’en Marti, where you can swim and sunbathe.

There is an outside terrace

and an indoor dining room.

It has a lovely little swimming pool, so it’s great for chilling out with friends and catching the sun.

It’s perfect if you have young children.

This hostal is a few rooms above a traditional local restaurant, but the location is terrific. The staff is pleasant and helpful, although they speak limited English.

When you book, ask for a room on the top floor at the front. They are the two biggest and have large roof terraces and sea views.

Other rooms can be relatively small and dark, but you are not staying here to stay in your bedroom.

Breakfast is quite basic but good enough. If you stay for dinner, they serve an island-renowned bread, olives, and alioli de la casa to start, as well as a fantastic Bullit de Peix (fish stew) plus other excellent rice dishes. People come from all over the island to eat it!

Just down the road, you will find the beautiful little cove of Canal d’en Marti, where there is a chiringuito (beach bar) in the summer months. It is excellent for swimming and snorkelling there.

Please note that this is old Ibiza—rustic, quiet, and peaceful—not a place for mad nights out clubbing! The nearest nightlife is Santa Eulària des Riu (Santa Eulalia del Río), 15 minutes away (or around €25 in a taxi).
