RESTAURANTE GUEYU-MAR Michelin Plate IIO
The coastline in and around Ribadesella combines large sandy beaches and small coves.
Playa de Vega is a remarkably unspoiled spot outside this sidra-obsessed picturesque town.

A café bar and snack kiosk provide drinks and ice cream.

For a special lunch there, try this superb fish restaurant.

All the staples are there,
Almejas (clams)
Gambas (prawns)
Sardinas (sardines)
Cetollu (spider crab)

Pulpo a feria (octopus in the style of the fair)

Calamares a la plancha (grilled squid)

Lenguado (sole)
Bonito (tuna)
Rodaballo (turbot)
Murluza (hake)
Dorada (gilthead bream)
Cola de Pixín (various baked or grilled fish)

The restaurant is on the edge of sprawling sand dunes, with views down to the Atlantic beach.

There is a paid-for car park by the beach or free parking behind the restaurant for customers only.

The extensive wine list includes a nice chilled white wine. The service is attentive, and the fish and seafood are all freshly caught. Only fish and seafood are available here; no meat or rice dishes are available.
Expect around €60pp if you have a lot of fish.
