ANDALUCÍA - MÁLAGA - PEDREGALEJO - MARISQUERÍA FREIDURÍA SALVADOR Y LUCAS
MARISQUERÍA FREIDURÍA SALVADOR Y LUCAS
We are still in the little fishing village of Pedregalejo and the time headed to Marisquería Freiduría Salvador y Lucas. Again, the restaurant is on the road running parallel to the paseo and beach which houses many more restaurants.
The food is spectacular, a real spectacle. Nothing, absolutely nothing, of what you order will be tasteless or past its best. They always use the correct frying oil (not always the case elsewhere) to highlight the taste of the fish. The fish will show very competent handling of the knife and it will always be cooked to the correct point on the plancha.
In our case, during this visit we had.
Tomate, aguacate y atún (tomato, avocado and tuna).
Coquinas con ajo, limón y vino blanco (small flat clams with garlic, lemon and white wine).
Boquerones en vinagre (anchovies in vinegar).
4 for €87, so not cheap, as usual.
Rape a la plancha (grilled monkfish).
The cheesecake was so good, that I was distracted and forgot to take a picture!
The service is extremely informative and friendly. They are normally busy, so it is best to reserve your table. There is a terrace on the busy main road.
