RESTAURANTE CA'S MILÁ
This is a stunning restaurant, high up and overlooking the great beach of Cala Tarida, it has a fabulous terrace area, facing the sea in the sunshine.
The restaurant opened in 1987 and today, it is run by the second generation of the Milà family.
Tartar de atún rojo con aguacate (red tuna tartar with avocado)
Carpaccio de carabinero (thinly sliced carabinero prawn)
Ensalada curada de pato y mango (cured duck and mango salad)
Ensalada sardina y sobrasada (sardine and sobrasada salad)
Un dentón común muy grande con papas en rodajas al horno
A very large common dentex with sliced potatoes, baked in the oven.
It fact, at 3.5 kg, it was probably too large for the four of us.
Other dishes to try, include,
Gallo de San Pedro a Nuestra manera (john dory house style)
Solomillo de ternera con salsa de avellanas (sirloin with hazelnut sauce)
Cazuela de langosta al estilo Ca’s Milà (lobster Ca’s Milà style)
Bullit de peix con arroz a banda (fish stew and rice)
Paella de maricos (seafood paella), a picture, from the next table.
For dessert, I had, Sorbette Límon (lemon sorbet).
The kitchen usually stays open throughout the whole day (they only close if there's bad weather or no people).
We had two bottles of the excellet Belondrade y Lurton 2018 (top class verdejo from Rueda)
The staff were very friendly (I'm not sure how she does this!)
When you come in, there is a live tank of lobsters and crayfish
There is convenient parking when entering from Cala Tarida north.
This allows you to park a few steps from the restaurant.
After your meal it is good to hit the beach and burn off a few calories!
It is a magnificent place and a haven of peace, when having a drink and watching the spectacular sunset over the bay.
