IBIZA - PLATJA DE SES SALINAS - CHIRINGUITO SA TRINXA

August 23, 2016

CHIRINGUITO SA TRINXA

This is the place for people-watching. On arrival on the Ses Salinas beach, turn left and keep walking until you reach the green palm branch topped Chiringuito Sa Trinxa.

This buzy beach restaurant attracts Ibiza's most beautiful, often in their butt-naked glory.

With sounds by Balearic chill out legend Jon Sa Trinxa (Monday & Wednesday)

Also top DJs like  Andy Piper, Marcello Marchitto and Franco Moiraghi will play at various times. It’s the perfect place for a jug of sangria and a dance in the sand, while a smattering of fashion nudists (it’s all about the piercings) make for a slightly adults only atmosphere, although there are plenty of children around.

Food is good beach fare, but the music and atmosphere are the main things you come here for.

You could try the decent

Dorada a la plancha con patatas and salad (gilthead bream with potatoes and salad)

Gambas a la plancha (grilled prawns)

Calamares a la plancha (grilled baby squids)

Pulpo (grilled octopus)

But you must be open minded. People can dance almost nude at your side in the beach or on a chair in the restaurant and you will be kindly invited to leave if you attempt to rise any concern.

It's not a crazy party spot but a place dominated by a carefree friendly mood.

As the sun sets you will see the sounds are pumped up a little with live appearances from saxophone players or violinists and everyone will be dancing in the sand.

If it gets to hot for you, take the famous green walkway and plunge into the blue Mediterranean sea.

You will often see members of famous night clubs, like Pacha, advertising their evenings.

 Stay until the sun sets.

There is also a very good beach shop for all your hippy boho needs...................
