This is a great little chilled hotel with something of an Ibiza and Bali vibe.
The rooms are scattered around the grounds, mostly situated around the swimming pool area, so best to visit when it's not school holidays, as it does get busy with kids then. Although the rooms are rather small, each has a sitting area outside. The pool area is quiet and relaxed during the day as many residents will be kitesurfing or doing other beach activities.
You use the footpath to get to the beach from the hotel that goes under the busy main road.
Playa Valdevaqueros is one of the best beaches in Europe and is full of surfers and windsurfer dudes.
The standard rooms are clean, although the bathrooms can be small. They are situated away from the swimming pool area, so they are quiet.
The superior rooms are very clean but also quite basic and are situated around the pool area.
The suites are beautiful with quite a Bali vibe to the décor. They have their own garden with an outside tub, sea view and a cooling breeze. They are situated away from all other rooms and are very quiet.
The whole place has a very relaxed vibe, with chilled music playing throughout. There are couches to hang out on, have a drink, and watch the sunset. The swimming pool is nice and great for a late night around a charming pool and numerous daybeds are hidden away for relaxing. The outside bar has raised cushioned seating and the service is good.
Live music and DJs play in the evenings which is a perfect warm-up for an evening in Tarifa (and what a great town it is for a night out with friendly people.)

There is a large shop available to supply all your surfing needs.
There is ample parking which is good if you are driving, If not, you will have to factor in taxis to and from Tarifa. Warning - the hotel is about 6k out of town and is too far to walk. Taxis are not easy to get so worth booking in advance.
