Arrive in the small inland village of Sant Rafel de sa Creu and you will come across Restaurante Asador Ca'n Pilot. A great place for traditional Spanish food since 1989 in a rustic setting.
This is the place for traditional grilled meats, but to begin with there is a fine list of starters including
alioli, aceitunas y pan (Alioli, olives and bread)
Jamón Ibérico de Bellota
Tabla de Ibéricos
Foie de Pato Natural
Pimientos de Padrón
Also look for specials like
Frita de polp (fried octopus with potatoes and peppers)
or superb Anchoas del Cantábrico (Cantabrian anchovies with tomato and toast)
But this place is all about meat of which there is plenty, including
Entrecot de ternera (sirloin)
Chuletas de cordero (lamb chops)
Conejo lechal (baby rabbit)
Hamburguesa de buey (Ox hamburger)
But the star of the show is the Chuletón de buey (Ox T-Bone Steak) min 2 persons. This is cooked to your personal liking by yourself at the table on a mini charcoal grill and is sensational.
For dessert there are the two Ibicanan favourites
Flaó (egg and soft cheese cake)
0r Greixonera (cinnamon pudding)
The wine list concentratres mainly on Rioja and Ribera del Duero but there is also couple of local Ibicencan wines from Can Rich and Ebusus.
Not surprisingly, this place is nearly always packed to the rafters with locals. There is also a buzzing bar area where you can have a few tapas and a drink.
Last orders are 12pm. Open all year but closed on Wednesdays.
