Vigo is the biggest city in Galicia and stands in a stunning location. There are 14 golden beaches on the three miles of coastline that border the city, eight of which have blue flag status. You can also visit the Las Islas Cies (The Cíes Islands), the beautiful archipelago off the coast which is easy to reach by ferry.


Do what the locals do and  head for rúa de la pescadería, one of a labyrinth of lanes in the old town, where you will see granite tables piled high with fantastic local oysters and the other wonderful seafood from the area and eat them at one of the bars in the lane with a glass of albariño, rat...
