This place, at the end of a long steep road down from Es Cubells, has been a rustic and authentic chiringuito since the 1970's. It is set amongst pine trees in full view of a small pebble beach.

To reach the restaurant take the road on the left before you reach Es Cubells church.

Around a mile or so later, on the cliff road going down the hill you will see it signposted on the left. After a steep slope, you will reach the restaurant which is next to the sea.

There is parking, which can sometimes be difficult, during busy times.

With plenty of money to spend and maybe a boat to moor, head past Cala Jondal, down a precarious dusty path (make sure you are in someone else's car!) to Cala es Xarcu and Restaurant Es Xarcu.

If you come by boat, you can anchor just in front of the restaurant and be brought aboard by the restaurant boat service (which may help to explain the cost).

This beautiful little restaurant is in the same bay as the noisy euro trash Blue Marlin club, but is separated by a small headland and it's another world.  It's a grown up sort of place, lot...
