Las Negras is a Spanish seaside town in the province of Almería, belonging to the municipality of Níjar. It is located within the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata-Níjar about 50 km from the provincial capital, Almeria and is a great base for exploring the area.
It was very busy and lively when we visited in July 2019 and was virtually 100% Spanish tourists. Most of the waiters in the restaurants did not speak any English.

As you approach this restaurant, which is in a slightly out of the way location along the main coastal road between Agua Amarga and Carboneras, you may think you are entering someone's back garden.
That is exactly what it feels like if you dine outside in the evening, where you can sit in the courtyard on lovely tables in the shade of pomegranate trees and enjoy the stunning sunset and the view back to Agua Amarga over the sea.
